May 2007: World's first combined liver and kidney transplant from two live donors saves 15 year old with Hyperoxaluria
July 2007: Dr Soin’s team conducts South Asia’s first double liver transplant in the same patient.
September 2007: Dr Soin’s team conducts India’s first combined liver and kidney transplant in an adult (with both liver and kidney failure) using organs from two separate living donors.

Visiting Fellowship at the Kyoto Liver Transplant Unit.
Awarded Research Grant of the year from the Royal College of
Surgeons of Edinburgh 1996.
DMA Distinguished Services Award on July 1, 2005 for outstanding
contribution to and pioneering achievements in Liver Transplantation
in India.
